Flyover Territory

Test blog. Like flyover territory itself, you're probably ignoring it anyway.

One of the reasons I took this blog name was to post stuff about the perceptions that people have of the middle of the country. A feature article on the AOL News site talks about the low and high risk areas for real estate price changes. Check out the pictures used in the article (they're found by scrolling through the 'high-' and 'low-risk' lists).

San Francisco

Columbus

See any differences? Other cities in the low-risk category received better treatment; not sure why Columbus didn't... There are plenty of nice stock photos of it. But then did the article author work to find a representative pic, or just the first one that came up in their Google search? Would a close-up portrait of Frisco's homeless have been an appropriate representation of their city?
